Associate Professor Roberta Berry has just accepted a new position, effective August 15, as Director of the Georgia Tech Honors Program <http://www.honorsprogram.gatech.edu>. The Georgia Tech Honors Program selects students who give a strong indication of intellectual curiosity and commitment, and tries to create an academic context in which they can extend their range of thought by working with professors and other students in a spirit of collaborative inquiry and interdisciplinary investigation. The Honors Program curriculum emphasizes active intellectual engagement and the mutual exchange of ideas rather than just the transfer of information.
As Director, Dr. Berry will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Honors Program, including student recruitment, admission, orientation, programming, curriculum development, course scheduling, and assessment.
