The Campus Recreation Center’s Outdoor Recreation Georgia Tech (ORGT) and FASET join forces to bring incoming Georgia Tech freshmen several optional Adventure Orientation Experiences. These elective opportunities provide a great way for new students to meet and bond with other freshman and upperclass student leaders, increase their social network, reflect on the upcoming journey of starting college, and spend quality time in the great outdoors. In the last seven years we have given more than 650 students a unique experience that kicks off their time at Georgia Tech and creates lifetime memories and friendships.

We meet at the CRC at 5 p.m. after students finish with FASET (we won’t leave anyone behind) and head to Tennessee to learn rock climbing and go rafting. We return to campus and end the trip the last evening between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m.
Or choose to go on a camping, rock climbing, and rafting adventure immediately before FASET 5. We will meet on campus at 11 a.m. and head to Tennessee to learn rock climbing and go rafting.
