China has become a powerful political and economical actor on the world stage. In parallel with the “global workshop” and the impact of the “made in China”, the internationalization of Chinese companies has become another engine of economic growth.
Until now, there are only a few publications focusing on the expansion and activities of Chinese firms abroad. With the China Goes Global (TM), initiative, Jacobs University, Rollins College, Harvard University and Georgia Tech (CIBER) conduct a collaborative research program to analyze the structure and the inherent problems of this topic, and to give answers to these questions from a variety of stakeholder perspectives – corporate, governmental and non-governmental decision makers as well as researchers.
This years conference will be held in Shanghai, China on August 19 - 21, 2014.
