Teachers passionate about expanding musical possibilities for their students can easily discover creative ways to incorporate music technology into their lesson plans and performances. The Georgia Tech Teacher Training Workshops in Music Technology are designed to provide practical, hands-on experiences that can be directly translated into classroom activities, learning modules, and concerts. No previous experience is necessary and entry-level focus areas include: iPad Apps and lesson plans, audio systems and recording basics, composition and creation technologies, and how to turn smartphones, laptops, turntables, or iPads into musical instruments. For those with intermediate and/or advanced music technology backgrounds, options include composing and recording in a professional studio, gaining hands-on experience with cutting edge music technology, DJ tools and resources, professional lighting equipment, as well as integrating technology into rehearsal and performance environments, advanced graphic notation and marching band drill design sessions with Georgia Tech faculty.
