This two-day workshop, geared towards Georgia Tech STEM graduate students and post-docs with an interest in engineering education, will introduce participants to non-traditional, interactive teaching methods in the classroom.

Dr. Michael Prince, professor of chemical engineering at Bucknell University and a renowned expert in engineering education techniques, is our keynote speaker and co-host.

Coffee, lunch, and afternoon snacks will be served during the workshop.  There is no registration fee.  

During the workshop, participants will:

  • Learn the necessary components of an effective learning environment
  • Be introduced to and have interactive discussions about the application of active and collaborative learning techniques 
  • Hear testimony from a variety of Georgia Tech professors who have successfully implemented non-traditional, active, and collaborative learning techniques in their classrooms
  • Broaden their network of colleagues who are interested in improving STEM education
