Michael L. Best, associate professor in The Sam Nunn School of International Affairs, is the new and inuagural global computing editor for the Communications for the Association for Computing Machinery (CACM). His first column appears in the April issue and is entitled "Thinking Outside the Continent." It addresses computing innovation and the global south, specifically the case of social media tracking centers as an example of Nigerian Digital Innovation.
Michael Best is associate professor of the Sam Nunn School of International Affairs and the School of Interactive Computing at Georgia Institute of Technology where he directs the Technologies and International Development Lab. He is co-founder and Editor-in-Chief Emeritus of the widely read journal, Information Technologies and International Development.
