Financial Aid Deadline Reminder

There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. As the end of spring semester approaches, here are a few reminders and tips for reapplying (returning students) for financial aid in the 2014-2015 aid year.

Hope/Zell Miller Scholarship Only Applicants

  • If you only want to apply for the Hope/Zell Miller Scholarship, the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is not required.
  • By the May 1 priority deadline, complete  the following:
      1. 2014-2015 Georgia Tech Application for Scholarships and Financial Aid (GT APP)
      2. Hope/Zell Miller application, titled “Georgia Scholarship/Grant Application (GSFAPPS)” located under “Shortcuts” at gacollege411.org
  • Note - the GT App must be completed for every academic year; however, you will only need to submit the GSFAPPS once.

Non Residents and Hope/Zell Miller Scholarship Students Requesting Additional Federal and/or other Aid

  • By the May 1 priority deadline, complete  the following:
      1. 2014-2015 Georgia Tech Application for Scholarships and Financial Aid (GT APP)
      2. Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
  • Submitting these forms by May 1, 2014, allows students to be reviewed for all potential sources of aid for which they are eligible and to receive a response regarding eligibility in June.
