Yaszek Wins Two Major Professional Awards

Both awards were given for outstanding work in the field of science fiction studies:

  • The first of these is the Thomas D. Clareson Award for Distinguished Service, which Yaszek earned for her work on various science fiction related executive committees, award committees, and journals.
  • The second is the Mary Kay Bray Award for the best essay published in the SFRA Review. Yaszek’s essay,  “Narrative, Archive, Database: The Digital Humanities and Science Fiction Scholarship," appears by special arrangement in both the winter 2013 issues of the Review and in the inaugural issue of the Eaton Journal of Archival Research in Science Fiction.
