Georgia Tech Library

Home to hundreds of resources and materials and Librarian Charlie Bennett, the official library liaison for Student Affairs, the Georgia Tech Library is a great place to start your information search. All you need is an active BuzzCard to take advantage of their services.

Library resources and services available to you include:

  • Scanners, printers (both color and black/white), and large format poster printers,
  • Gadgets for academic and leisure purposes such as, camcorders, digital cameras, digital voice recorders, webcams, Kindles, iPads, graphing calculators, and laptops,
  • A productivity computing cluster, walk-up ports, and wireless access,
  • A multimedia studio with state-of-the-art audio and video software and equipment,
  • Access to more than 20 million books, journals, reports, government documents, maps, videos, popular reading, science fiction, and other items,
  • Electronic resources, such as course reserves, the Library’s catalog, more than 260 databases, electronic theses and disserta­tions, electronic books and journals, and research guides,
  • Individual, in-depth research assistance is available from subject librarians, including round-the-clock research assistance in person, via e-mail, chat, and phone,
  • Free professional development workshops and trainings including graphic design, productivity tools, and communication ethics,
  • Access is available to books and articles from other libraries via interlibrary loan and GIL Express,
  • Access to hundreds of DVDs, new releases and classics,
  • Plus, assistance with filing patents, trademarks, and copyrights.

The Education Advisory Board

If research interests you, the Education Advisory Board (EAB) provides best practice research and practical advice to leaders of academic affairs, business affairs, student affairs, advancement, continuing, online, and professional education, and community colleges across North America.

Thanks to Dr. Schafer, all staff in the Division have free access to major studies and more than 10,000 customized research briefs each year. Following are the custom research projects the Division of Student Affairs has completed and are located in the EAB library:

  • Conducting Comprehensive Student Affairs Program Reviews
  • Developing a Leadership-Themed Living Learning Community
