The Georgia Tech Student Alumni Association's (SAA) Gift to Tech is an annual monetary contribution that SAA makes to Tech towards a project selected by students. This year, the Office of the Arts is a finalist! SAA members will make a final selection after the entire Georgia Tech student body narrows down the choices via an online voting process.
The Office of the Arts' proposal for the Gift to Tech is for a free outdoor concert series for the entire Tech community to enjoy consisting of two concerts in the fall and two concerts in the spring. Funds will be used to contract professional performers appealing to a wide audience for at least three of the four concerts with the last concert featuring a Georgia Tech student group.
Georgia Tech students can vote during March and early April on the proposed projects and SAA will fund the projects with the most votes. On April 22, SAA invites all members to a celebration event where SAA and its student members will present the check to President Peterson and the department whose project received the most votes.
Best of luck to the Office of the Arts!
