There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. The Student Government Association Sustainability Committee would like to invite you to the first Green Alliance meeting of the semester on Tuesday, February 25th from 11 AM - 12 PM in Clough 423.
The event will feature Denise Quarles, Director of the Mayor's Office of Sustainability for the City of Atlanta. Denise will be giving a presentation on her office and Atlanta's Sustainability initiatives. In addition, there will be free pizza provided generously by the Brook Byers Institute for Sustainable Systems.
The Green Alliance is a network of members of the GT community interested in advancing environmental stewardship. Run by the SGA Sustainability Committee, the Alliance's goal is to connect like-minded students, faculty, and administrators. Following Ms. Quarles' presentation we will have a brief discussion on organizations' projects and, in general, about sustainability on campus.
