Summaries

Summary Sentence: Taking Risks to Build Connections that Help Students Learn

Full Summary: This annual luncheon event is held each spring and provides an opportunity for instructional staff to reflect on practices and strategies that enhance student learning.  It includes a poster fair, honors and awards, and faculty speakers.

Join us for Celebrating Teaching Day 2014 to learn about new practices faculty are using to improve student learning.  This event will include poster presentations, honors, awards and a luncheon presentation.

We have many great teachers at Georgia Tech. One characteristic that these faculty share is a willingness to take risks.  Some move beyond their comfort zones in order to become more accessible to students.  Others redesign their courses in ways that break with tradition and student expectations.  Although not all teaching risks initially succeed, the best instructors continue to work with their students to improve their course experience.  Come hear in a luncheon Pecha Kucha how faculty representing every college at Georgia Tech are Taking Risks to Build Connections that Help Students Learn.
