There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. The following Georgia Tech employees and units have received honors in recent months:  

  • Hermann Fritz, associate professor in the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering, has won the 2014 Plinius Medal from the European Geosciences Union.  
  • Tom Conte, professor in the School of Computer Science, was elected the 2014 president-elect of the Computer Society of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. David Bader, professor in the School of Computational Science and Engineering and executive director of High-Performance Computing, was named to the organization’s Board of Governors.  
  • Golf team coach Bruce Heppler is being inducted into the Golf Coaches Hall of Fame.
