Christopher RawlinsChristopher Rawlins ’95 is a licensed Architect and the Principal of Rawlins Design, a New York-based architecture and interiors firm. Beginning with New York residential interiors and expanding towards far-flung retail projects, Rawlins has most recently engaged the modernist architecture of Fire Island as a preservationist, scholar, and practitioner. Rawlins lectures today on a spate of recent work which traces the profound impact of New York City and Fire Island on the formation of his ideas.
Rawlins graduated from the College of Architecture in 1995. Following Georgia Tech, he was awarded a full merit scholarship to Princeton University. Christopher worked with Alexander Gorlin and taught at Lehigh University prior to incorporating his own practice in 2003. In 2013 he founded Pines Modern, a non-profit modern architecture preservation group.
