We are excited to announce the 1st annual Southeastern Biogeochemistry Symposium will be held on April 5 – 6, 2014 at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia.
The Southeastern Biogeochemistry Symposium is a unique opportunity for undergraduate students, graduate students, post docs, and faculty members from the southeast to convene and present their latest biogeochemistry research. The Symposium will consist of a keynote address, research presentations from students and post docs, and two poster sessions. The keynote address will be given by Dr. William H. Schlesinger, President of the Cary Institute of Ecosystem Studies. Registration is open to all fields related to biogeochemistry, including ecology, environmental engineering, geochemistry, microbiology, geology, oceanography, and astrobiology.
Limited student and post doc travel fellowships may be available for those traveling from outside the Atlanta area. Be sure to note on your registration form whether or not you would like to be considered for a fellowship.
The registration deadline for the Southeastern Biogeochemistry Symposium is Friday, January 14th, 2014.
The deadline for abstract submissions for oral and poster presentations is Friday, March 7th, 2014.
