2014 Materials Genome Initiative Regional Workshop

This event will bring together university scientists and engineers, industry, and government agencies to develop methods for accelerating the design, discovery, development and deployment of advanced materials.  This workshop aims to:

  • Explore pathways for limiting guesswork, accelerating materials development, and unifying design and manufacturing;
  • Identify high priority areas of opportunity for government investment to achieve the goals of the Materials Genome Initiative; and
  • Establish partnerships that will enable the Southeastern region to leverage its corporate, academic, and public-private assets to significantly contribute to the Materials Genome Initiative.
