Munmun De Choudhury is a computational social science researcher and joined Georgia Tech's School of Interactive Computing as an Assistant Professor in Spring 2014. Munmun's research combines computer science and social science into developing computational techniques that can lead to a better understanding of human behavior online. She has been a recipient of the Grace Hopper Scholarship, recognized with an IBM Emergent Leaders in Multimedia award, and a finalist of Facebook Fellowship. Earlier, Munmun was a postdoctoral researcher at Microsoft Research, a research fellow at Rutgers, and obtained a PhD in Computer Science from Arizona State University in 2011.
