Laura Wilcox has joined the School of Interactive Computing and the MS-HCI program. She was most recently in the Computer Science department at Columbia University. Her dissertation research examined how systems can be designed to communicate information to end users on the status and progress of complex, multi-faceted, and dynamic processes - in particular, address patient-centered digital communication of health status and progress information from two complementary perspectives: those of hospital clinicians as well as patients. Her work uses a broad HCI research methodology, including methods for designing, prototyping, and evaluating technology.
Laura's industry experience includes designing, implementing and presenting end-to-end solution prototypes focused on customer scenarios in the IBM Solutions Experience Lab in Software Group Technical Sales organization. Learn more about her background and interests at http://laurenwilcox.net/.
