Georgia Tech TechList is proud to announce its second official event: Dinner and Discussion with a Holocaust Survivor

Be one of 60 participants to hear the personal story of Norbert Friedman, one of the last remaining Holocaust survivors in the world. Hear Mr. Friedman's story and engage in discussion to learn more about the personal effects of the Holocaust and what remains of those who endured it. Mr. Friedman is one of the last living Holocaust survivors, so be sure to sign up for this event — you don't want to miss this!

Free Shabbat dinner will be provided. Signup online: bit.ly/SurvivorDinner

Online signup will close Saturday, Jan. 25. If signups exceed 60-person capacity, participants will be selected by lottery.

About Norbert Friedman

Friedman was seventeen when the Germans invaded Poland in 1939. Born in Krakow, he and his parents moved around to avoid capture by the Nazis. In 1942, Friedman was sent to a labor camp and never saw his mother or younger brother again. He survived eleven concentration camps including Dachau. Friedman immigrated to the United States in 1950. An accomplished writer and raconteur, he is the author of the memoir, Sun Rays at Midnight, and a collection of short stories, Sappy Tales and Silent Screams

This event is co-sponsored by GT TechList and Hillel at Georgia Tech.
