Full Summary: Georgia Tech's Dr. Bert Bras is this week's guest speaker for the popular Manufacturing Brown Bag Seminar Series.

The Georgia Tech Manufacturing Institute (GTMI) welcomes Georgia Tech's Dr. Bert Bras on Monday, Feb. 24, for GTMI’s weekly Brown Bag Seminar Series. The seminar will begin at noon in Room 114 of the Callaway Manufacturing Research Building. Dr. Bras will discuss "Sustainable Design and Manufacturing."

Dr. Bras has been a professor at the Georgia Tech George W. Woodruff School of Mechanical Engineering since September 1992. His research focus is on sustainable design and manufacturing, including design for recycling and remanufacture, bio-inspired design, and life-cycle analysis. He has authored and co-authored more than 150 publications. From 2001-2004 he served as Director of Georgia Tech’s Institute for Sustainable Development and received the 2007 Georgia Tech Outstanding Interdisciplinary Activities Award.
