About the speakers:
Lieutenant Colonel Thomas K. Harland serves as the Chief, German Army Liaison Staff and Armor Liaison Officer to the US Army Maneuver Center of Excellence, Fort Benning. He has served in various operational, training and personnel assignments at platoon, company, brigade, corps and armed forces levels, including assignments as Aide de Camp to Deputy SACEUR, SHAPE; Military Assistant to Chief of Staff, SHAPE; ACOS J1 Bundeswehr Special Operations Command; and as a G3 Staff Officer with the German Armed Forces Office. He enlisted in the German Army in 1983 and graduated from the Bundeswehr Universität Hamburg with a MA in educational science.
Major Nathan M. Hubbard is the Operations Officer (S3) for 3rd Squadron, 1st Cavalry Regiment, the Armored Reconnaissance Squadron for 3rd Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division (ID). He has previously served in numerous NATO, Multinational, and Joint assignments from the tactical to strategic levels, including Kosovo, Afghanistan, Iraq, Joint Staff, and Headquarters Department of the Army International Affairs. He earned an MPA from Georgetown University and a BS in Military History from United States Military Academy at West Point.
