Maldovan's Research Selected by MIT as Best of 2013

There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. The research of Martin Maldovan, a research engineer in the School of Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering, has been selected by MIT News as one of the Best of 2013, which highlight's some of the news site's most popular and interesting articles from the past year.

In January 2013, MIT News published, "How to treat heat like light: New approach using nanoparticle alloys allows heat to be focused or reflected just like electromagnetic waves." The article discusses a technique developed by Maldovan "that provides a new way of manipulating heat, allowing it to be controlled much as light waves can be manipulated by lenses and mirrors."
