This year Georgia Institute of Technology hosts this annual event for academics throughout the world who study the cultures of French-speaking countries. The conference will feature 400 academic participants from North America, Europe, Africa, the Caribbean and Asia, who will be giving scholarly papers.

While official registration is mandatory for participants, the conference is also open to the public. The honorary speaker, award-winning French author Pascal Quignard, has won France’s highest literary prize, for a screening and discussion, as well as Marie Laberge, an award-winning Canadian playwright, in addition to academic professionals at the top of their field. The program includes film screenings, speeches from invited guests from France, the US, and Canada, and receptions. The event will conclude with a jazz banquet followed by dancing.

The event will be held at the Georgian Terrace hotel, Atlanta.
