No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. The State of Georgia FIRST LEGO League Challenge is part of an international program called FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition in Science and Technology), designed for children ages 9-14 in the U.S. and ages 9-16 in Europe. FIRST LEGO League (FLL) combines a hands-on, interactive robotics program with a sports-like atmosphere.
On Saturday, January 25, 2014, one of two FLL Championship Tournaments will be held at the Georgia Tech Student Center. Top teams (out of 400 across the state) will come to the Student Center to pit their autonomous LEGO robots against each other. This is an all-day event that will have about 300-400 middle school students and their entourage on campus.
The event is open to the public.
