Professor Qi Wang Publishes Two Articles on Film and Gives Two Talks

The first article is “Embodied Visions: Chinese Queer Experimental Documentaries by Shi Tou and Cui Zi’en,” positions: asia critique, 21:3, Summer 2013, 659-681.

The second article is “Chicken Poets and Rough Poetry: Figuring the Poet and His Subject(s) in Independent Chinese Cinema.” It appears in Verse, Voice, and Vision: Poetry and the Cinema, ed. Marlisa Santos, Scarecrow Press, 2013, 67-77.

Professor Qi Wang has also been invited to deliver two talks, the first at Georgia State University:  "Recent Challenges and Developments in the Chinese Film Industry," Department of Communication, Georgia State University, Oct. 29, 2013. The second will be at Hong Kong Baptist University on December 3, 2013. The topic is "Personal Documentary—A Certain Tendency in Chinese Independent Documentary.”
