Full Summary: Students will set up a practice site on the Library server, and learn to navigate the Wordpress Dashboard options.

This hands-on session will cover the basic features of a WordPress site. Emphasis will be placed on utilizing WordPress to create an online presence for graduate students -- including use of WordPress to highlight academic and research accomplishments. Students will set up a practice site on the Library server, and learn to navigate the Dashboard options. Addition and formatting of text, images, videos and files will be included. Locating, installing and customizing Themes, Plug-ins, Custom Menus and other widgets will be covered. Information on service providers for hosting their sites will be provided, along with additional help resources and source sites for plug-ins and widgets.

Space is first come, first served, but priority is given to those who have registered.
