Crash Course: Web Design

There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. This course is tailored for complete beginners with no website design experience.

Topics may include: 

Wordpress or Joomla - Open Source

In this 90 minute workshop, Librarian Alison valk will familiarize you with the Dreamweaver software interface & discuss basic features, including a brief overview of HTML/CSS basics and their role in this latest version of Dreamweaver.

The student should leave the workshop with a basic familiarity of how the software is set up.

Working with Text, links ,images and background layouts are some of the basics covered.We will also discuss resources for discovering more information on open source web design alternatives.
