The seminar will launch with Guest Speaker Dr. Boris Gasparov from Columbia University leading the discussion. The seminar will take place on October 28, 2013 at 5 p.m. in the School of Modern Languages, Swann Building, Auditorium 115, Georgia Institute of Technology, 613 Cherry Street, Atlanta.
ASSS is an informal association of researchers working on Russian literature, history and culture, as well as on the culture and history of the other countries of the former Eastern Bloc. ASSS brings together philologists, historians, philosophers, political scientists, sociologists and anthropologists from Emory University, Georgia Institute of Technology and other research and teaching institutions. Devoted to the advancement of Slavic Studies in Georgia, ASSS will have regular meetings and invite lecturers from other universities and countries.
