There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. During its monthly meeting Oct. 8-9, the Board of Regents (BOR) approved an amendment to the fiscal year 2015 Capital Budget Request to include $1.7 million in design funds to support the comprehensive renewal tof Price Gilbert-Crosland Tower.
The BOR also authorized a budget modification for the renovation of the Caddell Building, which increases the project budget from $2.5 million to $3.3 million. Also, a design firm was appointed to complete the renovation of the Boggs Chemistry Building.
In other meeting news, the board approved President G.P. “Bud” Peterson’s request to award an honorary degree to Rodney Adkins, senior vice president of corporate strategy for IBM.
