There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Functionally the new site is identical to the old one. webteam@gatech.edu

"You can’t do much in GTA. But it fools people into thinking they can, which is genius," said Ian Bogost regarding the question of whether or not the game is truly a persistent, living world. "It appears to have more affordances than it does, and most people don’t try to pursue the others, so they don’t notice how constrained it really is.”  Bogost is a professor in the School of Literature, Media, and Communication.  Source:  The Wall Street Journal, September 26, 2013
