John and his team will receive a $10,000 production grant from Hyundai to produce a short film that showcases the football related traditions that inspire Georgia Tech students.

Thornton's class (LCC 34306: Film Production) is among the finalists in the “Lens of Loyalty” film contest sponsored by Hyundai who reached out to 25 schools to create a short film and narrowed the field to seven to move on to the filmmaking stage.

Those schools will receive $10,000 to produce the film.  Once it is finished, Hyundai and its judging panel will choose a winning film, awarding the school an additional $10K.

The students involved in this project include Samuel Williams, Larry Smith, Tucker Elliott, Brian Bashark, Lorin Young, Syneva Runyan, Alex Williams, Khalen Morehead, Erin Hennessy, and Kavya Nimmagadda.
