The School of Modern Languages will host German writer, Eugen Ruge on campus to discuss his award winning book, "In Times of Fading Light," an elaborate portrait of an East German family that spans four generations.  Ruge's novel offers a captivating glimpse into private life in the German Democratic Republic and the slow decline of state socialism. The book won the German Book Prize and has sold over 450,000 copies in Germany alone.
