CALL FOR PAPERS FOR PRESENTATION

All graduate students enrolled in Ivan Allen College Liberal Arts graduate courses are eligible to present papers at the 2nd annual IAC graduate student conference, scheduled for Friday, January 31, 2014, 10am-5pm, in the Hall Building, OR present posters at the GTRIC poster sessions on February 11, 2014, in the afternoon in the Student Center. All faculty, staff, and students at Georgia Tech are welcome to attend the IAC Graduate Student Paper Sessions on January 31st and the GTRIC poster sessions on February 11th.

 Abstracts for paper presentation—Deadline: November 15, 2013

Between September 20 and November 15, 2013, graduate students can submit 200-250 word abstracts of presentations for the IAC Graduate Student conference to this GTRIC website: http://www.sga.gatech.edu/graduate/GTRIC  (NOTE: Poster submissions use the same site.)

 Format for January IAC Graduate Student Conference

Presentations on January 31, 2014, will be scheduled as either 15-20-minute papers on panels or 10-minute roundtable presentations. The Ivan Allen Graduate Student Advisory Board members will review the abstracts and organize the schedule for the January 31st conference.

 Full Papers Compete for Prizes—Deadline: January 1, 2014

Between November 20, 2013, and January 1, 2014, IAC graduate students can submit their complete papers to the GTRIC website:  http://www.sga.gatech.edu/graduate/GTRIC

All 10-15-page papers submitted by January 1, 2014 (and delivered at the January 31st conference) will be evaluated by IAC faculty.

 Awards Ceremony

The authors of the top three papers will receive $1500 in travel funds, which will be awarded by Dean Jacqueline Royster, Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts, at the GTRIC awards ceremony on February 11, 2014.

 Timeline

November 15, 2013: Abstracts due, 200-250 words, due via GTRIC website

January 1, 2014: Complete conference papers due via GTRIC website, 10-15 pages

January 31, 2014: Panels and roundtable speakers present papers

February 11, 2014: GTRIC Poster Sessions, Georgia Tech Student Center & Awards Ceremony, Ferst Theatre
