There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. In Creative Loafing's Best of Atlanta 2013 picks, the staff selected the School of City and Regional Planning's Northside Drive Corridor Study as the "Best Vision for Atlanta's West Side." The study, led by Professor Mike Dobbins, created "A beautiful vision of transit, mixed-use development, and walkable environments that could improve Northside Drive. Among the proposals: starting bus rapid transit, turning the reservoir along Howell Mill Road into a park, and promoting dense, mixed-income developments." Central Atlanta Progress, the Midtown Alliance, City Hall, and Georgia Department of Transportation all co-sponsored the study.
