There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Georgia Tech is one of the key players is the emerging ecosystem of innovating edtech institutions. One of our innovations is the introduction of the flipped classroom or hybrid learning and Dr. Christine Ries joins several other faculty members in science and engineering systems who are flipping their classes.
The founders of three startups that are already major players in the edtech space will be presenting a panel discussion in Dr. Ries’ class. Mike Messner (net-texts.com), Jeff Levy (Office hours) and Jamie Caras (Sapling Learning, joining by video), will engage in discussion of how their personal experiences generated the ‘solution’ that became the start of their company. They will also talk about how the idea grew into a product and the particular challenges and inflection points along their growth pathways.
