The Society for Biodiversity (SBD) is new student organization focused on promoting and increasing the number of underrepresented minorities in STEM-related fields.

One way SBD is approaching this goal is through partnerships with Center for Education Integrating Science, Mathematics, and Computing (CEISMC) and outreach through local K-12 schools.  Dr. Kamau Bobb of CEISMC will be speaking on the current state of STEM education and minority student performance in Georgia Public Schools at the club meeting on September 24 at 5pm in Student Center room 320.  Contact sbd.gatech@gmail.com with questions.
