There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Functionally the new site is identical to the old one. webteam@gatech.edu

An article written by Chair of the School of Economics, David Laband, has been published online at www.VoxEU.org. The article entitled “Citations: Caution, Context, Common Sense” argues that although citation counts are easy to quantify and broadly indicative, they ultimately provide limited information and should only be used with a healthy dose of caution and common sense.
Vox is an online policy portal set up by the Centre for Economic Policy Research in conjunction with a consortium of national sites. The aim is to promote research-based policy analysis and commentary by leading scholars.
