Application deadline for National Science Foundation Robert Noyce Science Teacher Scholarship

The Impacting Metro Atlanta Science Teaching (I-MAST) program is a collaborative effort between Georgia State University and Georgia Institute of Technology.  IMAST recruits talented STEM subject majors for careers in middle and high school education and offers two distinct entry points.  Entry point #1: Receive up to $18,000 of funding for one’s senior year of a B.S. program and another year of funding while obtaining a Master of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T.) in Science plus Georgia teacher certification for a possible total of $36,000.  Entry point #2: Apply only for the graduate school portion of the scholarship for up to $18,000 total.   Noyce Scholars must teach two years in a U.S. high need school district for each year of funding. Scholars may also receive funding for professional development and for attendance at professional conferences. Must be a U.S. citizen, national or permanent resident and have a minimum GPA of 3.0.  http://msit.gsu.edu/IMAST.htm
