British Council conference comes to GT

The British Council’s Higher Education Series conference in Atlanta will examine best practices from the UK and the south-eastern United States. 

On Thursday, October 10th, Georgia Tech will host senior higher education professionals from both sides of the Atlantic, to engage in the British Council's Global Education Dialogue series. This title of this conference is "The Role of Higher Education in Economic Revitatlization." 

Through interactive discussions, attendees will examine:

  • collaboration between universities and businesses to support local industry
  • the economic implications of research and tech transfer
  • new models for workforce development
  • the role of higher education institutions in ensuring graduates' employability

GT Vice Provost for International Initiatives, Dr. Yves Berthelot and Executive Vice President for Research, Dr. Stephen Cross, will both speak at the conference.
