On August 12th and 13th, Prof. Juan Moreno-Cruz presented his work "A Spatial Approach to Energy Economics" at the Summer Workshop of the Stanford Institute for Theoretical Economics, a prestigious conference organized by Stanford University and funded by the National Science Foundation.  The paper examines the use of land for energy purposes and how the physics of transportation and the location of energy resources can determine the extent of economic activity.  It provides the basis for a more theoretical analysis of energy systems development and energy transitions.  The paper can be found here.  More information on the workshop program and attendees can be found here.
