On July 10, Professor Angela dalle Vacche delivered a talk, "Bazin et Resnais: Medium, specificite et science" at the Institute Nationale de L'Histoire de L'Art, in Paris, a think tank for art history and museum studies.

On July 25, Professor Dalle Vacche was one of the keynote speakers at Transformations of the Image and Text: the animation of space and the ethos of liveness in film, digitality and writing, a symposium in Sydney, Australia. The subject of her talk was "Photography: Who Are You?"

In addition, her article, "Andre Bazin's Film Theory and Olivier Assayas' Summer Hours (2008)" was published in an Italian anthology. Storia dell'arte e film studies. Chasse-croise, which was edited by Riccardo Venturi.
