Dr. Das currently serves as the Morris M. Bryan Jr. Chair in Mechanical Engineering for Advanced Manufacturing Systems in the George W. Woodruff School of Mechanical Engineering. He holds a joint appointment in the School of Materials Science and Engineering, and he is director of Georgia Tech’s Direct Digital Manufacturing Laboratory and Research Group. He came to Georgia Tech from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor in 2007.

Sponsored by various government agencies and industrial backers, his research encompasses an array of interdisciplinary topics under the overall framework of advanced design, prototyping, direct digital manufacturing, and materials.
