Jennifer Clark, an associate professor in the School of Public Policy, represented Georgia Tech and attended the third meeting of the Clinton Global Initiative America in Chicago in June 2013.
President Clinton hosted the third meeting of CGI America, an annual event focused on finding solutions that promote economic recovery in the United States. The working meeting brought together leaders from the business, foundation, NGO, and government sectors to develop solutions that increase employment, advance access to education and skills development, strengthen energy security, and promote an environment for business growth and innovation. For the second year, Dr. Clark participated in the CGI America’s Manufacturing Working Group on behalf of the Georgia Tech Manufacturing Institute and the Ivan Allen College's Center for Urban Innovation. The CGI America Manufacturing Working Group brings together representatives from around the country to discuss actions and policies aimed at expanding and enhancing manufacturing in the US.
