LMC Chair Richard Utz recently published "The Good Corporation? Google's Medievalism and Why it Matters" in volume 22 (2013) of Studies in Medievalism, a refereed journal published by Boydell & Brewer. The essay, which appears in a forum section on Corporate Medievalisms, explores how Google has appropriated nostalgia for the past in the pursuit of its goals as a leading technology company.
