In its latest data compilation, the tuition comparison resource AffordableCollegesOnline.org (ACO) has named Georgia Tech as its number one choice for “Affordable Colleges With High Return on Investment.”
In fact, the contest wasn’t even close. Out of 875 colleges it reviewed, ACO rates Tech’s return on investment to be $836,000, well ahead of second-place State University of New York at New Paltz, at $644,500. Rounding out the top five was the University of Virginia, Texas A&M University, and Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
The list was developed through a combination of sources, with data originating from organizations such as PayScale and the Carnegie Classification. A more complete explanation of ACO’s selection methodology is available on its website.
