The Tech Pre-Calculus Enrichment Program (Tech PrEP) is a partnership between Georgia Tech's Center for Academic Success, School of Mathematics, and the Department of Residential Life’s Freshman Experience Program. This exciting summer program is designed to give entering Tech freshmen an added advantage in successfully completing their introductory calculus courses. Tech PrEP is a non-credit, intensive, residential program that will review fundamental pre-calculus concepts as well as introduce strategies critical for academic success in calculus and other first-year courses. Tech PrEP is designed to be an active, social, and relaxed environment with the overall goal of giving new students a head start to their success at Tech.
There are many benefits to enrolling in Tech PrEP:
Tech PrEP is August 1-10, 2013 with a move-in date of July 31, 2013. Enrollment is limited. Students will move directly into their fall freshman housing assignment. To be eligible, participants must be incoming Georgia Tech first-year students. Students enrolling in either MATH 1501 (Calculus I) or MATH 1712 (Survey of Calculus) are encouraged to register as the program curriculum aligns with course material for these courses. However, students enrolling in any Calculus or Math course are still welcome to enroll. Please note that Tech PrEP is a non-credit bearing program. Financial aid or scholarship awards may not be used towards the cost of the program.
For more information including program cost and registration details, please visit the Tech PrEP website.
