There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Prof. Lisa Yaszek recently co-edited (with Doug Davis) a special issue of Configurations on award-winning science fiction author Kim Stanley Robinson. Configurations is the flagship journal of the Society for Literature, Science, and the Arts, and this special issue features leading scholars in both science and science fiction studies, including LMC faculty members Ken Knoespel, Kathleen Ann Goonan, and Jason Ellis. The issue also includes an interview conducted by Yaszek and Davis with Robinson about science fiction as "science's conscience."
