ETHEL continues its 2012-13 ARTech residency with a free performance of Space by celebrated composer Phil Kline. The work explores sustained tones and lightly dissonant harmonies through the use of lyrical viola and cello lines and ornate violin solos.

For invigorating artistry and inventive programming, ETHEL is recognized as America’s foremost postclassical string quartet. Using amplification and improvisation in its performances, the ensemble boldly explores new synergies between tradition and technology.
