There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Please be aware that ISSS will be instituting a new travel signature process next week. Before dropping off your I-20 for a travel signature, students will complete a travel signature e-form in iStart. The e-form will be reviewed within 5 business days and upon being approved, students will be notified to bring their I-20 anytime during walk-in advising hours so an advisor can sign for travel. We hope this new system will cut down on multiple visits to the office and save both you and the OIE time!
An email will be sent out once the new e-form is ready to be used. After that point, the e-form will be required to request a travel signature. Ideally, in the future, the e-form request will be submitted when a plane ticket is purchased maintaining a similar outcome with regard to investment of time on your part.
Remember: A travel signature for a continuing student and their dependents is valid for one full year while signatures for students on OPT and their dependents are valid for six months.
