Professor of Practice Harry West will be tapped as a member the Georgia Tech Circle of Omicron Delta Kappa on April 4th at 11 am in front of Tech Tower. Omicron Delta Kappa is a national honor society that recognizes students, faculty, staff, and alumni that have distinguished themselves through meritorious service to society, Tech, or the student body. The organization began in 1914 at Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia by 15 student and faculty leaders, and today boasts over 300,000 members.
Mr. West has more than 48 years experience managing and planning public projects and reviewing private development proposals, and for 27 years he served as the Atlanta Regional Commission’s Executive Director. He currently works within Georgia Tech's School of City and Regional Planning and the Center for Quality Growth and Regional Development where he studies transportation infrastructure, air quality and the natural environment, and megaregions.
